7 Techniques To Remember Anything

Drone video: Expanding cracks, slow-moving landslide on Rattlesnake Ridge

Two hours southeast of Seattle along Interstate 82, drivers will find the Rattlesnake Hills – with a fissure in the ridge so big it can be seen from the road on a clear day.

With the daunting crevice comes a slow-moving, 20-acre landslide that has gradually inched downward on Rattlesnake Ridge near Yakima for months.

Washington Department of Natural Resources released new drone video that gave a new look into the hillside.

Geologists and engineers don’t know exactly what the scale of the slide will be when it hits the base of the ridge, but they’ve conceived several scenarios of what could happen – with some alarming residents, drivers, and emergency crews.

Thankfully, with some thoughtful preventive measures (and lots of padding), it is possible to get from old house to new with all your belongings in one piece — and hopefully with no dings in those freshly painted walls either.

The high cost of free parking

The cities we live in are shaped by the way we get around them. Over the past 60 years, with more and more people opting to drive cars, the need for parking spaces has increased with the boom in driving.
To accommodate that demand early on, cities and towns started requiring developers to include parking with their new buildings after World War II. These policies, known as mandatory parking minimums, set precise standards for parking spaces for each building. And these parking spaces don’t come cheap.

To learn much more on free parking’s affect on cities, Donald Shoup’s book is here: https://www.amazon.com/High-Cost-Free…
