Money saving and kinda fun!
Take a look at these great tricks.
William Shakespeare. Just seeing that name takes me to a place where coffee flows, procrastination runs rampant, and book reports come back marked down for tardiness. Unless you reside under a rock or still working your way through high-school, you’ve heard of Mr. Shakespeare. Today’s infographic speaks on Shakespeare’s significance in regards to the English language, but not in the typical way.
Down below are eight quotes, phrases, and saying that can be credited to William Shakespeare. I’m sure you’ve heard at least one of them used in your lifetime. My intrigue with this infographic lies in the notion that Shakespeare has so many quotes and writings that are held in high regard by scholars worldwide, yet these get left out. I’m not saying that quotes such as “Et tu, Brute?” and “the world is my oyster” should be studied interchangeably. I’m just taking note of the vast influence Shakespeare had over language.
Share your favorite Shakespeare quotes in the comment box and have an awesome day!
I always enjoy Seafair Weekend, the rush of the F18’s (There is NOTHING like it when they are passing over your head, the energy rush it leaves behind) and the excitement of the Hydro-planes!!!
And with that comes the Bridge Closures too…
So with that being said, I thought it might be of interest to have the Bridge Closure information, as well as pertinent websites, so you can make an informed decision as you navigate the area:
The annual Seafair festival begins when the pirates land the first week of July and ends with the Blue Angels flying over Lake Washington in a spectacular display of aeronautics. The Washington State Department of Transportation’s (WSDOT) role is to make sure drivers and pilots are safe during the annual event.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires WSDOT to close Interstate 90 while the Blue Angels perform for the safety of both drivers and pilots.
Interstate 90 will be closed to all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, eastbound and westbound, mainline and express lanes, between Interstate 5 in Seattle to Island Crest Way on Mercer Island:

Boeing Field will be closed to private pilots during the Blue Angels performances. For information about specific closure times: http://tfr.faa.gov/tfr2/list.html

Have a SAFE and FUN weekend
It’s that time of year again: cookout season. People everywhere are putting on sunscreen, grabbing the grill and headed towards the nearest body of water in waves.
If you haven’t already thrown a cookout this summer but were thinking about it, let today’s infographic from VisualNews.com be your guide to getting your meats and veggies grilled perfectly.
There are a few different factors that go into determining when those burgers are good and done (direct vs. indirect heat, heat intensity, time, etc.) but the most important thing to keep an eye on is the actual internal temperature of the meat. A seasoned grill-master will probably be comfortable eyeballing the quality of the food, but for those less experienced it’s recommended to have a meat thermometer on hand to thoroughly check the food’s internal temperature to keep everyone safe and healthy.
This graphic, with its variety of meats and veggies and their appropriate cooking times/heats, should be a handy guide for anyone looking to have good cookout. Happy grilling! [Via]
Spending money somewhat carelessly can be a hard habit to break, especially if a person is college-aged and has never been taught how to wisely manage their funds. Partying is fun, but too much beer or fast food can quickly leave a college student’s wallet (and probably stomach) hurting.
Today’s infographic outlines 20 financial tips that anyone 20 years or younger (or even older) would benefit from knowing.
One of the points stressed is that if a person doesn’t have the ability to pay for something in cash, they should not use credit to purchase it. This makes good financial sense; if the purchase someone is making with credit will make them unable to pay their credit card bill, they shouldn’t make the purchase. If more people could really understand that at a younger age then it could help reduce the number of people struggling with credit card debt.

Seattle’s newest tourist landmark opened on Friday, June 29, at Pier 57. The Great Wheel towers at 175 feet, weighs 280,300 pounds, and holds 42 climate-controlled gondolas. At full capacity, 252 passengers can catch a 12-minute view over Elliot Bay.
The Great Wheel project was designed to draw the approximately 9.9 million annual overnight visitors to the waterfront. Undeniably, the city’s skyline is changed. While most residents feel positively about the Great Wheel, some are less enthusiastic, reports the Seattle Times. Downtown resident Linda Mitchell feels that the landmark is “a little country fairish.”
Seattle is not alone in its quest to attract more visitors with a high-tech wheel ride. Internationally, the wheel is gaining popularity after 30 years of going out of fashion, says analyst Dennis Speigel, president of Ohio-based International Theme Park Services, Inc. According to Reuters, Staten Island will be getting a 600-foot-tall “observation wheel,” and two new wheels are under discussion in Las Vegas.
Great Wheel tickets are $13 for adults and $8.50 for children 11 and under. Purchase your tickets at the pier or online at www.seattlegreatwheel.com. Military and senior discounts are available.
