Italian company Stocco takes bathroom fixtures to a whole new level of style and sophistication with their Origami suite. The unusual suite of bathtubs and
sinks uses modern shapes and clean lines to create beautiful fixtures that will truly set a bathroom apart from any other.
While some of the objects in the Origami line are more decorative than others, all add a little something special to the bathroom landscape. Unexpected shelves, uplighted cutouts, or an elegant tub-side table space are surprisingly at home in these pieces, giving each its own unique personality.
The sinks of the Origami collection are nearly as original as the tubs. Freestanding, countertop or integrated designs are available, giving plenty of options for creating a totally unique bathroom interior.
At eight feet long, this one-of-a-kind outdoor sink might not fit in every household. But there is no reason that creative sinks like this should only be installed outdoors.
Concrete sink basins can be made in other shapes also – just in case you aren’t a guitar fan. But for anyone who plays or just enjoys the sweet sounds of a guitar, these pictures ought to inspire a kitchen – or at least a sink – makeover.
Unlike some of his other more experimental futuristic projects, this is a sort of when-Harry-met-Sally piece, expressive like his inked figure drawings rather than being a suggestion about the way things should be.

Of himself, Harbourn writes: “While design is commonly described as the union of emotional and rational processes by bringing the aesthetic and the functional together, I believe it has evolved into something much deeper today. Now have to be considered new values inside the design process, which are the psychological and the philosophical. In my projects, I tend to question these new values. By sketching a hypothetical vision of tomorrow’s products & interactions, I aim to make people react and debate about the fascinating evolution of our daily objects.”
